Biggest sculpin I've seen in a long time. Nailed a Yum Dinger hard.
Caught two of these big northern pikeminnows, both on the Dinger. Really a surprise, a little dissapointed they weren't big bass. Still, they pulled super hard, unlike most pikeminnows I catch. Never had 'em hit a Senko-style lure before. This one in the above pic was 15 inches.
This is the biggest largemouth that this park has ever produced for me, sitting at 14 inches. Not huge, but a monster compared to the dinks that I usually catch here. Good fight on 4lb test.
Klineline pond and the surrounding waterways in Salmon Creek Park continue to surprise me with largemouth bass. I've lost some pretty big ones here but hopefully I'll connect and actually land them on my next trip.

commentsYeah I saw a bunch of inflatables when I was leaving there the other day. Did you have two yellow boats with you? Just wondering. Hey man, its cool you can actually find bass out there. Sometime you will have to fish trout with me. Took home another two trout today off of rooster tails man. Meat for the freezer sure helps on the grocery bills at the end of the month.
ReplyNo, I don't have any yellow boats lol. You aren't supposed to have inflatables on the main pond, but the other ponds are fine for boating I think. Props on the trout catches!
ReplyDude I was over at ifish and the ifishkid chatter was talking about what he calls drift fishing which lead to me doing internet searches and I found a huge hero on youtube. I mean huge hero to me. This guy is someone I am going to try to meet some day. His name is Timothy Krusherts. check out his drift fishing videos on youtube. I started out thinking bass from my childhood but man ended up hunting these stocked trout now want to bump up to salmon and steelhead and someday sharks and tuna in Japan. But man, I will be happy to do this drift fishing forever. Just the road I am going down. Check this guy out man, he is awesome. I am buying his book on Monday.
